So the first thing to point out you have multiple choices on how you want to play in single player. You can play one game, best of three, or best of five. There is only a doubles format game no singles so in single player you control two people. There is no running, you only control the swing. The computer AI does the rest. Opponents are based on ranking. Ranking depends on how well you do in games over time. You can get a you win banner if you win. Each time you go up it shows if you went up in rank or down in rank. The "Pro" level is 1000 points and I am already pro. The skill level of the AI is shown at the beginning of the game. I currently play opponents ranked 1900 when I am around 1280. You do not have to play the computer and can in fact play other people.
